i7 – High-end Car Hifi made in Germany

Our HELIX COMPOSE i7 series represents uncompromising high-end for an outstanding sound experience in the automobile. With obvious influence of the high-end sister brand BRAX, the i7 speaker series is completely made in Germany and optimized for uncompromising music enjoyment. All speaker impedances are perfectly matched for the combination with our HELIX and MATCH amplifiers, guaranteeing maximum performance at any time. In addition, HELIX COMPOSE introduces four new mechanical technologies that offer unbeatable practical benefits.

High efficiency

HELIX COMPOSE equals smart engineering and accordingly implements highly efficient 3 Ohms technology, that perfectly harmonizes with all HELIX and MATCH amplifiers and at the same time allows a clearly perceptible plus in efficiency and maximum sound pressure.

High-End Coaxial Coincident Speaker

The Ci7 C165.2FM-S3 is a unique coaxial speaker that combines the best of the Ci7 W165FM-S3 High-End midbass driver and the Ci7 T20FM-SC high-end tweeter. Due to its complex design, the Ci7 C165.2FM-S3 is not just a simple coaxial speaker but a true coincident driver. This provides the advantage that the sound from both drivers is produced at exactly the same time, turning the speaker into a point-source. This results in extremely precise and time-coherent sound reproduction, which is particularly advantageous in acoustically challenging environments, making this speaker another smart, practical solution in the COMPOSE platform.
With the i7’s renowned UHD paper cone and the silk-dome tweeter, incl. the integrated coupling volume damped with pure lamb’s wool, the C165.2FM-S3 delivers an exceptional combination of powerful, precise midbass and brilliant, smooth treble response. The alignment of the drivers along the same sound axis ensures optimal phase coherence and a consistent sound image. This makes the C165.2FM-S3 a versatile solution for audiophiles who want to experience a coherent soundstage from a single speaker position, while still benefiting from the intelligence and integration-friendly design of the COMPOSE platform.

High-tech polymer basket

All HELIX COMPOSE i7 and i3 speaker baskets are made of a high-tech polymer composite, which has been additionally reinforced with glass spheres. The result: maximum stability with minimal self-resonance, while also eliminating flux modulation of the magnetic system and maximum resistance to thermal influences. Last but not least, this allows for much more compact basket dimensions and thus simplified installations in cramped installation conditions.

FlexMount165 – Universal meets car-specific

FlexMount is a mounting system based on specially developed adaptor rings, allowing the installation of COMPOSE FlexMount speakers in an almost infinite number of vehicles. Thus, the universal loudspeaker effortlessly becomes a vehicle-specific loudspeaker, that can be easily installed in the original installation position of the vehicle in an acoustically optimized way with the matching FlexMount adaptor ring.

ProConnect – The new industry standard

Our innovative ProConnect terminal of the midbass is the new industry standard: A professional, automotive connector that provides a safe connection to our WireKits, but also allows the use of conventional speaker cables or car-specific adaptor cables via flat plugs, giving maximum flexibility in the design of the sound system upgrade. Furthermore, the connection is interlocked, offers reverse polarity protection and is electrically and mechanically highly stressable.

Our WireKits realize the connection of HELIX COMPOSE coaxial speaker system to the original wiring harness in the most comfortable way. With manufacturing according to the high standards of the automotive industry, these arrestable adaptor cables meet all requirements for the harsh environmental conditions that installers are facing in vehicles every day.

Note: The speaker does not have an integrated crossover. For active operation, two amplified DSP channels per speaker are required and it is essential to set a highpass filter for the tweeter in the pre-connected DSP or DSP amplifier. Alternatively, the separately available crossover Ci7 FX-UNI.2 can be used.
